How It Works

10% Bond

You or a West Michigan bail bond company can set a 10% bond, if the Judge allows. That means a cash deposit of 10% of the full bail amount can be placed with the county, to GUARANTEE the person who had been arrested will appear at the next court hearing. If the arrested person does not appear after posting a cash bond, the money will be forfeited. If the case is dismissed or a ‘not guilty verdict’ is decided at the end of the trial, 90% of bond money posted will be refunded (minus any fines and or court costs.)

Surety Bond

Big Brother Bail Bonds can post a surety bond that assures a arrested person will appear at the next court date. The County Sheriff does not participate in the contract between an arrestee and any bonding company. There is a fee for this to be done upon each bond posted. Cash Bond

Exactly as it sounds – total amount of the bond in cash, to guarantee the arrestee will appear at the next court hearing. If a not guilty verdict is entered, or the case is dismissed at the end of the trial, bond money will be refunded to you (minus any fines and or court costs.) If the arrested person does not appear after posting a cash bond, the money will be forfeited to Big Brother Bonds.
